Course Reserves: Home

Student and faculty information about course reserves available at the KU Library

What are Course Reserves?

Course Reserves are books, ebooks, and other class-related materials kept at the KU Library's Circulation Desk. Their use is four hours at a time. Some courses have PDF eReserves on Blackboard.

Access Services Librarian Josh Olsen (810-762-7816) coordinates the ordering and processing of reserves.

Head of Research + Discovery

Physical Reserves

The library has two types of books on Reserve in the library, those owned by professors and those owned by the library. These books check out for four hours.

The current list of physical Reserves. (in progress) can be found here.

The librarians actively attempt to have a copy of class textbooks on Reserve in the library.

eReserves consist of faculty class notes, quizzes, and final exams in PDF format on Blackboard. These reserves are listed under the Course Number and are cross-referenced under the Professor's Name.

The eReserves are accessible through Blackboard (see information below), and the Course eReserves are found here (must be signed in to Blackboard to view this link).
