Steps for Downloading Software (PC):

• Go to https://my.kettering.edu/page/endnote
• Click  'Download Link for Windows or Mac'
• This will open the EndNote website, where you will choose 'EndNote 21 for Windows or for Mac'

• EndNote 21 will begin installing at the bottom of your screen

• Once it finishes installing, select open
• You will then be given a prompt to set up EndNote 21

• Second, will you will be prompted to enter your product key, which is located on this page here: https://my.kettering.edu/page/endnote

• Thirdly, a 'User Information' (Enter your name, Click Next)

• 'Read Me Information' (Click Next)

• 'License Agreement' (Choose: I accept the license agreement, Click next)

• Select Installation Type (Choose: Typical)

• Select Destination (Computer will prompt a destination folder, you may proceed with that or change to another, Click Next)

• Ready to Install the Application (Click Next)

• Installation will finish loading and the full version of EndNote will be available of your computer. If you want to save work to utilize on EndNote web, please see the next tab about 'Creating a personal account'.

Steps for Downloading Software (MAC):

• Go to https://my.kettering.edu/page/endnote
• Click on the 'MAC IOS: Download Link'
• This will open a open a file opener and you must choose how to open, just go with system default (DiskImageMounter) 

• The installer with open and click on the EndNote icon to start install

• A warning will pop-up, please proceed with open

• The final install pop-up is next, press install

• If you have any applications open, such as Microsoft Word, it will prompt you to close them.

• A series of set-up screens will pop-up-
  • The first will be a 'Welcome to EndNote 20.01', click 'Next'

• Secondly, 'Read Me' (Click Next)

• Next, the system will update and you will get a Thank you for using EndNote 20.0.1.

• Installation will finish loading and the full version of EndNote will be available of your computer. If you want to save work to utilize on EndNote web, please see the next tab about 'Creating a personal account'.

• If you already have a personal account, please login, if you don't, click 'Register' and create an account using your @kettering.edu email. 
• Fill in the following information and Click 'Register'-

• You can now sync your accounts together, so that you can work seamlessly on your Desktop and EndNote Online. 
• You MUST download the desktop version first and then sync accounts in order to have access to the full version
