A how-to of the Kettering & MeL databases

Harvard Business Review

Creating a persistent link:

From inside the database, navigate to the article you wish to share. From here, click the 3 dots to the right of the title, then click "Share."

Once a new box opens, click "Create Link" to access the shareable URL. Copy the URL and share in syllabi, emails with colleagues and students, etc.

Using Harvard Business Review inside Business Source Elite

Harvard Business Review is included in Kettering's subscription to the database Business Source Elite.

This link (on or off campus) will take you directly to the landing page of HBR inside Business Source Elite, allowing access to articles from 1922-present. Use the years on the right-hand side of the page to find specific issues, and the Search within this publication option to search keywords, title, subject, or author.

If you decide to search within the publication, click the little box above the search to indicate you want to only search the HBR. This gives you the most accurate search results.

To access an article you're interested in, click the "Access Options" box beneath the title and publication info. It will give you an option to access the PDF. In the tab that opens, you will be able to read, download, print, or share the article using the icons at the top right of the page, as shown below.

Using Harvard Business Review's Website

We do not have access to any HBR books, visual library, toolkits etc.. If you see something of value that asks for you to pay for it, please email the Materials on Demand service at library@kettering.edu and the library will cover the cost.

CASE STUDIES

While our Kettering subscription does not provide free access to HBR's official Case Studies, by doing a search for "case study" and limiting to "Free with your subscription" you will see case studies that appeared in the magazine as articles.
