Comics Plus

Using Comics Plus

To get started with Comics Plus, you will need to create an account. When you click the link to the database above, you will be presented with a login screen. Click the link that says "Sign Up Now" below the green login button.

Once you click the link to create an account, you will have to search for Kettering University in the top box. Next, you'll use your email address and create your own password.

After your account is created, you'll be taken to the homepage that gives you options to search (center top of page) as well as choose tabs to see selected lists, such as "featured," "popular," "just added," and "categories."

Once you find a title you are interested in, you have a couple of options. If you know you want to read it, hover over the book's cover and click the little arrow/play icon. If you want to read more about the selected title, click "More Details."

Clicking "More Details" will give you the book's synopsis and publication information. You can also start reading the book from that page by clicking the arrow/play button, as shown below.

Once you click the arrow/play button, the title will open up, and you can start navigating through the book. If you view the book in your browser, the book will default to one page displayed at a time, but you can change it to a 2-page spread by clicking at the top left of the page. You can also click the magnifying glasses to display the book larger or smaller.

To navigate pages forward or backward, you can use the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard. If you are reading a graphic novel or comic, you will click the right arrow to turn to the next page. If you are reading manga, you'll use the left arrow to move forward, as manga is read right to left.

To close the book and go back to the homepage, click anywhere on the screen to open the top and bottom menu. Then click the "X" at the very top right of the page.
