Creating a persistent link:
To share a persistent link from IEEE, you will need to add Kettering University's proxy to ensure all users both on and off campus can access it.
To do so, first, copy the URL that appears in the search bar for the resource you wish to share, which in this case is:
https://pubs-acs-org.kettering.idm.oclc.org/doi/10.1021/bk-1986-0306.ch001
Next, add Kettering University's proxy BEFORE the URL as shown below:
https://kettering.idm.oclc.org/login?url= added to
https://pubs-acs-org.kettering.idm.oclc.org/doi/10.1021/bk-1986-0306.ch001 equals the new persistent link:

When you are ready to submit an article to a journal through the Journal Finder, you will see a green Select button. From here, you will create an account and follow the steps outlined on the journal submission site.

The library's current subscription includes all ACS journal content, so you're equipped with maximum access to cutting-edge, essential research that is applicable in the fields of chemistry, physics, engineering, biology, and allied health professions. ACS only publishes high-quality peer-reviewed content that remains some of the most highly cited in the field of chemistry. There are over 70 ACS journals in this collection, dating from 1996 to the present. Also included are two collections of ebooks, In Focus eBook Collection I and II, and the Guide to Scholarly Communication.
Searching the Database
At the top of the page, you will find a search box where you can enter any keywords, authors, titles, DOI, etc.
The results page has some points to notice, as shown below.
If you choose "Full Text" or click the title of the resource you want, it will open in your browser to be read, with a further option to download the PDF from that point as well.
Once you click the title, you can scroll down to read the full article or click "Open PDF" to access the file to download or print. At the top right of the page, you will find the citation information.
