Creating a persistent link:

Since the New York Times requires an individual login, those you share the link with will be required to log in or create an account. For more information about creating an account, click here

To share a link, click the arrow under the article title and select "copy link":

Creating an Account

To access the New York Times website or mobile app, you will need to create an account using your Kettering email address. To begin the registration process click here.

The page that opens will look as follows. You will need to click the black "Create Account" button.

Next, click "Continue with Google." This will route you through the blue Kettering login page you're accustomed to.


Once completed, you may navigate directly to nytimes.com from any web-enabled device (or download the app). You may be asked to log in annually to keep the account registered.

  • New York Times inEducation is designed as a resource to connect Times journalism with key areas of study for students and faculty. It requires an email ending in .edu to access, so be sure to use your Kettering credentials.
